Equatorial Guinea Embassy Attestation in India
Equatorial Guinea embassy attestation for Indian degrees, experience letters, police clearance certificates and company papers. Because Equatorial Guinea is not an apostille country, each document goes through notary, SDM and MEA attestation and is then legalised at the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in New Delhi. We submit everything and return the documents by courier.

What is Equatorial Guinea embassy attestation?
Equatorial Guinea embassy attestation is the legalisation chain that lets an Indian document be used in Malabo or Bata. The MEA attests the document after notary and SDM checks, and the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in New Delhi then legalises the MEA signature. Equatorial Guinea is not in the Apostille Convention, so the apostille route does not apply.
The embassy has been resident in New Delhi since October 2016, according to the MEA. The Indian community of about 400 works largely in services, hydrocarbon companies, department stores and trading, while Indian suppliers ship food, pharmaceuticals, machinery and apparel there. Spanish is the most widely used of the country’s official languages, so translations are a frequent extra.
Equatorial Guinea needs embassy attestation, not an apostille
Equatorial Guinea is not listed as a contracting party in the HCCH Apostille Convention status table, which we checked in October 2026. An apostille from the MEA will not meet the requirement. The document needs MEA attestation and then legalisation by the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea.

No. Equatorial Guinea is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. Indian documents are attested by the MEA and then legalised by the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in New Delhi; only then are they ready for use in Malabo.
Does Equatorial Guinea have an embassy in India?
Yes. The Ministry of External Affairs records that Equatorial Guinea opened its resident mission in New Delhi in October 2016. This is the office that legalises MEA-attested documents, and our team handles the submission for you.
What do I pay for Equatorial Guinea embassy attestation?
For each personal or educational document the MEA stage costs Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500, all-inclusive. The Embassy of Equatorial Guinea sets its own fee, which is extra and shown in your written quote together with courier charges.
What is the usual turnaround?
About 5 to 8 working days after the documents reach us in Delhi. The embassy’s workload decides the final day, so we write the expected date into your quote and update you if it changes.
I have an oil-sector job in Equatorial Guinea. What needs attesting?
Oil and gas contractors generally ask for educational certificates, experience letters and sometimes a police clearance certificate. Send us scans of everything, including any private training certificates, so we can confirm which ones can go through the MEA route before you courier the originals.
Do I need a Spanish translation?
Spanish is the most widely used official language of Equatorial Guinea, and some offices ask for translated documents. INFINITYGRO arranges Spanish translations quoted by page; ask the receiving office whether it wants the translation attached.
Can export documents be legalised for Equatorial Guinea?
Yes. The commercial invoice, certificate of origin or company document is attested by a Chamber of Commerce, then attested by the MEA and legalised by the embassy. Chamber and embassy fees are quoted in writing before we begin.
Can I hand over documents at your office?
