What is an online (QR) apostille?
The apostille is the certificate, under the 1961 Hague Convention, that the Ministry of External Affairs adds to an Indian public document so that it is accepted in other member countries. In the online apostille format the MEA apostille carries a QR code linked to the MEA’s records. A university, employer or immigration office abroad scans the code and sees the apostille details.

Which documents can take the online apostille
Many personal and educational documents can go through the online route, but not every document or issuing authority is covered. Send a photo of your document on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether it can take the QR apostille or should follow the standard notary, SDM and MEA route, which also gives you a valid MEA apostille.
