Ghana Embassy Attestation in India
Ghana embassy attestation for Indian degrees, marksheets, birth and marriage certificates, experience letters and export papers. Ghana has not joined the Apostille Convention, so an apostille will not do: we take each document through notary, SDM and MEA attestation, then to the Ghana High Commission in New Delhi, and courier it back to you.

What is Ghana embassy attestation?
Ghana embassy attestation means getting an Indian document legalised so that employers, universities, ministries and courts in Ghana will rely on it. Because Ghana is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) attests the document rather than apostilling it, and the High Commission of Ghana in New Delhi then adds its own legalisation over the MEA signature.
Requests for Ghana usually come from Indian professionals taking jobs in Accra, Kumasi or Tema, from Ghanaian graduates of Indian universities and ICCR scholarship holders heading home, and from Indian companies selling pharmaceuticals, farm machinery and vehicles to Ghanaian buyers. Educational and personal papers start with a notary and the SDM in Delhi; company papers start at a Chamber of Commerce.
Ghana needs embassy attestation, not an apostille
We checked the HCCH Apostille Convention status table in October 2026 and Ghana is not listed as a contracting party. An Indian apostille therefore has no standing in Ghana; the document needs MEA attestation followed by legalisation at the Ghana High Commission.

FAQs: Ghana embassy attestation
Is an MEA apostille valid in Ghana?
No. Ghana has not joined the Hague Apostille Convention, so a Ghanaian office will not accept a document carrying only an apostille. Your document needs the MEA attestation stamp and then the Ghana High Commission’s legalisation in New Delhi. We handle both stages for you.
What does Ghana embassy attestation cost?
For each personal or educational document, our MEA-stage charge is Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500, which covers notary, SDM, the Rs 50 MEA fee and our service. The Ghana High Commission’s legalisation fee is extra and is confirmed in your written quote, along with courier charges.
How many working days should I allow for Ghana?
Plan for roughly 5 to 8 working days after your originals arrive at our Delhi office. The MEA stage is quick; most of the time goes to the High Commission’s processing. Add courier days in both directions. We share the expected return date in writing before we start.
Do my documents need translating for Ghana?
Usually not. English is the official language of Ghana, and Indian degrees, marksheets and certificates are normally issued in English. If one of your papers is in Hindi or another Indian language, INFINITYGRO can arrange an English translation and quote it by page.
I am a Ghanaian who studied in India. Can you legalise my degree?
Yes. Send the original degree certificate, all marksheets or the transcript, and a copy of your Ghanaian passport. We complete notary, SDM, MEA attestation and the Ghana High Commission stamp, then courier the set to your Indian address or hand it over at our office.
Can company documents be legalised for a buyer in Ghana?
Yes. Commercial invoices, certificates of origin, board resolutions and company registration papers go first to a Chamber of Commerce, then to the MEA for attestation, and then to the Ghana High Commission. We quote the chamber, MEA and High Commission costs in writing before starting.
Do I have to come to Delhi for Ghana attestation?
No. You can courier the originals to our New Ashok Nagar office from any state, or drop them off in person if you are in Delhi. We do not offer home pickup. The finished documents go back to you by Blue Dart or another secure courier.
Which documents should I legalise for a work permit in Ghana?
That depends on your employer and the Ghanaian authority handling the permit. Degree and experience certificates are the usual starting point. Ask your employer for the exact list, send it along with your documents, and we will legalise only what is required, so you do not pay for extra stamps.
