Car Nicobar and Campbell Bay
Applicants in the Nicobar group face the longest transit of all, with documents moving by ship or by the limited flight schedule before they even reach the capital.
Plan four to six weeks more than a mainland applicant would, and start the moment a job offer or admission letter arrives.
Mayabunder, Diglipur and Rangat
North and Middle Andaman applicants usually send documents down the Andaman Trunk Road to Sri Vijaya Puram first, then onward by air courier.

Does the renaming of Port Blair to Sri Vijaya Puram affect my documents?
No. A degree, passport or certificate issued when the city was called Port Blair remains valid and does not need to be reissued. Neither the Ministry nor any embassy requires documents to match the current place name. Write your address in whichever form your courier recognises.
Can a relative in Delhi hand over my degree for me?
Yes, and many island families do exactly this. Your relative brings the original degree with a photocopy of your passport and an authorisation letter signed by you. The receipt is issued in your name and we send updates directly to your number.

It depends on the sponsor. Gulf health authorities often name State authentication explicitly, in which case the long route applies and you will also need transcripts.
