Kuwait embassy degree attestation steps are, in order: a notary in Delhi, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Embassy of Kuwait in New Delhi, and finally Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the degree reaches Kuwait. Each stage confirms the signature of the one before it, so none can be skipped and the order cannot change.

Kuwait is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, which is why the embassy and MOFA stages exist. An MEA apostille in place of steps 3 and 4 is not accepted.
Notary, SDM and MEA: the Indian authentication
These three stages take place in Delhi and usually finish within a few working days once the original reaches us. The notary and SDM look at the paper itself; the MEA looks at the SDM’s signature.
- The original degree must be present, not a photocopy
- A laminated degree cannot take stamps and is turned away
- Your name should match the passport you send with it
- The MEA does not take documents from individuals at its counter; we file at its outsourced centre

The Kuwait Embassy stage: what is checked and what comes back
The embassy legalises the MEA attestation. It does not assess your course or university. Degrees come back from this stage for paper problems, which is why we check a photo before you send anything.

Who does it
Your employer or its PRO takes the degree to Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is not done from India.
What to carry
The original degree in your hand luggage, plus colour scans of every stamp.
Arabic, if asked
Some offices want an Arabic translation. Ask where it must be made; we translate into Arabic if India is acceptable.

Steps 1–3 usually take a few working days in Delhi. The Kuwait Embassy sets its own fee and time, both stated in your written quote. MOFA Kuwait is paid in Kuwait.

Can any of the Kuwait embassy degree attestation steps be skipped?
No. Each stage confirms the signature of the one before it. Without the notary there is nothing for the SDM to authenticate, without the MEA the embassy has nothing to legalise, and MOFA Kuwait relies on the embassy stamp.
Can I go straight to the Kuwait Embassy with my degree?
No. The embassy legalises only degrees that already carry MEA attestation, and the MEA needs the notary and SDM stages first. INFINITYGRO handles all four Indian stages and files the degree at the embassy for you.
Does the Kuwait Embassy check my university or marks?
No. The embassy legalises the MEA attestation on the paper. Questions about the university, the course or equivalence are dealt with in Kuwait by the employer or the relevant authority, not by the embassy in New Delhi.
Why was my laminated degree refused at step 1?
Stamps and stickers cannot be fixed on lamination, and the paper cannot be examined properly. Ask your university for a fresh copy or a duplicate. Peeling off the lamination usually damages the degree and is not a safe fix.
How much do the Indian stages cost?
Steps 1 to 3 together are Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per document, covering the notary, SDM, MEA and our service. The Kuwait Embassy fee for step 4 is extra and shown in your quote. Courier both ways is extra.
How long does each stage take?
The notary, SDM and MEA usually take a few working days in Delhi. The Kuwait Embassy works to its own schedule, so we give a time estimate with the quote. Step 5 depends on your employer in Kuwait.
Is step 5 part of your service?
No. MOFA Kuwait ratifies the degree inside Kuwait, usually through your employer or its PRO after you arrive. Our work ends with the Kuwait Embassy stamp in New Delhi and the courier back to you or your address.
Do mark sheets go through the same steps?
Yes, if your employer asks for them. Mark sheets, transcripts and provisional certificates follow the same five stages, and each one is charged as a separate document. Send the checklist and we quote only for what it names.
