Quick answer

Nepal PCC attestation from Bulgaria Embassy: quick answer

Nepal PCC attestation from Bulgaria Embassy means legalisation, by the Embassy of Bulgaria in New Delhi, of a Nepal police report that has already been attested by the Department of Consular Services of Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry states that its embassy in Delhi is accredited to Nepal, so a Nepali applicant does not need to look for a Bulgarian mission in Kathmandu.

Bulgaria is a party to the Apostille Convention, but Nepal is not, so no apostille is possible on a Nepali document. INFINITYGRO can handle the Delhi embassy stage for a report that already carries Nepal MOFA attestation. Send a photo first; we confirm whether we can help, and our charges are quoted in writing.

Part 1 · The embassy

Why a Nepali document goes to the Bulgarian Embassy in Delhi

On its page for Nepal, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Delhi is accredited to Nepal, and gives the embassy’s address as 16/17 Chandragupta Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110021. Older web pages, including some guides, show other addresses; rely on the Ministry’s page.

Bulgaria

A party to the Apostille Convention since 2001. It accepts apostilles from other parties.

Nepal

Not on the HCCH status table, so it does not issue apostilles. Its documents are legalised instead.

Bulgarian translation and other checks

  • Ask the Bulgarian office whether it wants a Bulgarian translation of the report and both stamps
  • Ask whether a translation made outside Bulgaria is accepted, or one made in Bulgaria is required
  • Check how recent the police report must be when you apply
  • Keep scans of every page and stamp before handing the original over

INFINITYGRO translates into Bulgarian where a translation from India is accepted, quoted by page. If you also lived in India and need an Indian PCC for Bulgaria, that one takes the MEA apostille.

FAQs

FAQs: Nepal PCC Attestation from the Bulgaria Embassy in India

Does the Bulgarian Embassy in India handle Nepali documents?

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that its embassy in Delhi is accredited to Nepal. A Nepal police report for Bulgaria is therefore legalised there, once it carries attestation by Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Can my Nepal police report be apostilled for Bulgaria?

No. Bulgaria is an Apostille Convention party, but Nepal is not listed on the HCCH status table. An apostille requires both countries to be parties, so a Nepali report goes through attestation in Nepal and legalisation by the embassy instead.

What is the address of the Bulgarian Embassy in New Delhi?

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry gives it as 16/17 Chandragupta Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110021. Some older websites list different addresses, so use the Ministry’s page. You do not need to visit; we handle the submission once we confirm we can help.

Can you get the Nepal MOFA attestation for me?

No. That attestation is done by the Department of Consular Services in Nepal, and INFINITYGRO does not handle it. Our part starts in Delhi with a report that already carries it. Send a photo first; we confirm whether we can help.

How much does Nepal PCC attestation from Bulgaria Embassy cost?

Our service is quoted in writing after we see the document. The Bulgarian Embassy fee, any translation and courier are extra and listed in the same written quote. We do not publish a fixed price for documents issued outside India.

Do you apply for the Nepal police report?

No. Nepal Police issues it, and INFINITYGRO does not apply for police reports or police verification in any country. We help only after the report has been issued and attested by Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Does the report need a Bulgarian translation?

Bulgarian offices may ask for one. Ask whether a translation made outside Bulgaria is accepted or whether it must be made in Bulgaria. Where a translation from India is accepted, INFINITYGRO translates into Bulgarian, quoted by page.

Is the route the same for a Bangladeshi PCC?

No. Bangladesh joined the Apostille Convention in 2025 and Bulgaria did not object, so a Bangladeshi PCC for Bulgaria now normally takes the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs apostille instead of Bulgarian Embassy legalisation. Send us a photo of it if you are unsure which route applies.
