NOC Affidavit Apostille and Attestation
Apostille and embassy attestation for NOC (no objection) affidavits: parental consent for a child’s travel or study, spouse NOC and other declarations needed abroad.

NOC affidavit apostille: quick answer
NOC affidavit apostille is the stamp the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) puts on your Indian NOC affidavit so that it is accepted in Hague Convention countries. On our route the NOC affidavit is notarised in New Delhi, verified by the SDM office and then apostilled by the MEA, which charges a government fee of ₹50 per document.
For the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and other non-Hague countries the apostille is not accepted. There you need NOC affidavit attestation: notary, SDM, MEA attestation and then the embassy stamp.
Looking for No objection affidavit apostille without travelling to Delhi? Courier the original to our New Delhi office; we complete every stage and courier it back. A WhatsApp photo gets you a written quote first.
Why a NOC affidavit needs an apostille or attestation
A NOC affidavit is a sworn statement that a person does not object to something: a parent allowing a child to travel or study abroad, a spouse consenting to a visa or a property sale, or a family member agreeing to a transaction. Foreign schools, embassies and authorities often ask for it to be legalised.
The affidavit is executed on stamp paper, notarised, verified by the SDM in New Delhi and then apostilled by the MEA for Hague countries. For the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and other non-Hague countries it is attested by the MEA and legalised by the embassy.

FAQs: NOC affidavit apostille and attestation
How do I get my NOC affidavit apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs?
There are three steps: notary attestation in New Delhi, SDM verification of the notary, and the MEA apostille. You do not need to visit Delhi; courier the NOC affidavit to our office and we handle each stage and return it by courier.
What are the charges for NOC affidavit apostille?
For NOC affidavit apostille you pay the MEA fee of ₹50 per document plus our service charge of about ₹1,000–₹1,500 per document; courier is extra. Embassy legalisation for non-Hague countries is priced per embassy, and the quote is always given in writing before you send anything.
Can you help draft the NOC affidavit?
We can share a commonly accepted format and advise on wording; the deponent signs it before a notary. The receiving authority’s own format always takes priority.
What documents are required for NOC affidavit attestation?
For NOC affidavit attestation we need the original NOC affidavit, your passport copy (front and back pages) and a signed authorisation letter. Please also say where and why you will use it.
What is the process for NOC affidavit attestation for the UAE, Qatar or Kuwait?
The UAE, Qatar and Kuwait do not accept the apostille, so the NOC affidavit is attested in four stages: a New Delhi notary, the SDM, the MEA and finally the embassy of the country concerned. In the UAE, the foreign ministry adds one more stamp locally.
Does a parental NOC need an apostille for a child’s school abroad?
If the school or immigration authority asks for a legalised NOC, yes: an MEA apostille for Hague countries or attestation and the embassy stamp for others.
How long does NOC affidavit apostille take?
The time depends on the queues at the SDM office, the MEA and, for attestation, the embassy. We confirm an expected completion date in your written quote and update you on WhatsApp at every stage. Embassy attestation takes longer than an apostille.
Apostille or attestation: which one does my NOC affidavit need?
It depends on the country where you will use the NOC affidavit. Hague Convention countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Germany, Italy, the UK and Australia, accept the MEA apostille. Non-Hague countries, such as the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and China, need MEA attestation followed by embassy legalisation.
Can the person giving consent be abroad?
If the deponent is abroad, the affidavit is usually executed at the Indian embassy there. If it is executed in India, we handle the rest.
