BSc Nursing Degree Apostille for Jobs Abroad: What Nurses Need to Send
Got a nursing job offer or a registration file from abroad? The hospital or nursing regulator will almost always want your BSc Nursing degree legalised in India first. This guide lists what nurses usually send, which countries take the MEA apostille and which need embassy attestation, and what the Delhi route costs and how long it takes.

Quick answer for nurses going abroad
BSc nursing degree apostille for jobs abroad is the MEA apostille on your Indian BSc Nursing degree (and usually the marksheets and council registration), so a hospital or nursing regulator in a Hague Convention country accepts them. Before the MEA acts, the degree is notarised and attested by the SDM in Delhi.
INFINITYGRO handles notary, SDM and MEA for Rs 1,000–1,500 per document, all-inclusive, usually in 2–3 working days. For the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait, which are outside the Convention, the same papers get MEA attestation and then embassy legalisation instead; the embassy fee is extra. We start from certificates already issued to you: we do not obtain degrees, duplicates or registrations from universities or councils.
Which nursing documents get legalised
A BSc nursing degree apostille for jobs abroad rarely covers the degree alone. Check the checklist you were given, then send every item on it together so the whole set moves through the MEA at once.
BSc Nursing degree
The final degree certificate from your university. A provisional certificate is accepted by some employers until the final degree is issued; ask first.
Marksheets or transcript
Year-wise marksheets or a consolidated transcript.
Council registration
Your State Nursing Council registration certificate, which many regulators treat as proof that you can practise in India.
Experience letters
Hospital experience letters for posts that ask for post-qualification experience. These go through notary and SDM like any private document.
The Indian Nursing Council, set up under the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947, sets the standards for nursing education in India. It does not apostille documents; the apostille comes only from the MEA.

MEA apostille is enough
Hague Convention countries, including the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Italy. Saudi Arabia and Oman are also parties, so personal and educational documents for them take the apostille.
MEA attestation + embassy
The UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are outside the Convention. For the UAE the route is Notary → SDM → MEA → UAE Embassy New Delhi → UAE MOFA online, usually 5–7 working days. State HRD is added only if your checklist asks for it.
Unsure about a country? Check the HCCH status table or send us the country name on WhatsApp before couriering anything. For Germany too, our clients use the MEA apostille; German offices have not asked for German Embassy legalisation, and if the authority wants a German translation, we can prepare it.

FAQs: BSc Nursing Degree Apostille for Jobs Abroad: What Nurses Need to Send
Which countries accept the apostille on a BSc Nursing degree?
Countries in the Hague Apostille Convention, which include the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and Oman. For these, one MEA apostille on each document is enough and no embassy stamp is added.
Is a BSc nursing degree apostille for jobs abroad different for the UAE?
Yes. The UAE does not accept the apostille. The degree goes through notary, SDM and MEA attestation, then the UAE Embassy in New Delhi and UAE MOFA online. We handle all of it, usually in 5–7 working days. State HRD is needed only if your checklist names it.
Should I apostille my State Nursing Council registration too?
Only if the employer or regulator lists it. Many nursing files ask for the degree, marksheets and registration certificate together. Send them in one courier so they are processed in one batch and return together.
How much does it cost per document?
Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per document, all-inclusive: notary, SDM attestation, the Rs 50 MEA fee and our service. Courier is extra. For the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait the embassy fee is added and confirmed in your written quote.
Can I get the apostille online?
Yes. We also offer the online apostille (e-Sanad / QR apostille service), usually ready in 2–3 working days through INFINITYGRO. Send the document and a copy of your passport, because the passport number is entered online. Check first that your employer accepts it.
Can I apostille a provisional nursing certificate?
Yes, a provisional certificate can be apostilled like the degree. Whether the employer accepts it in place of the final degree is their decision, so confirm that with them before you send it to us.
My degree is lost. Can you help?
We cannot obtain a duplicate. Apply to your university for a duplicate degree under its own rules. Once you hold the duplicate original, send it to us and we take it through the notary, SDM and MEA stages.
Do I need to come to Delhi?
No. Courier the originals from any city, or drop them at our New Ashok Nagar office if you are in Delhi. We return them by Blue Dart or another secure courier. We do not offer home pickup.
