Quick answer

CA degree certificate apostille: quick answer

CA degree certificate apostille means getting your CA certificate certified by the Ministry of External Affairs with an apostille sticker, so that Hague Convention countries accept it without any embassy stamp. The steps are Notary, SDM New Delhi and the MEA apostille; the MEA's own fee is ₹50 per document.

Countries such as the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are not in the Hague Convention, so for them you need CA certificate attestation: MEA attestation after the notary and SDM steps, followed by embassy legalisation.

We arrange CA certificate apostille from start to finish by courier, for clients in every State. Share a photo of the CA certificate on WhatsApp with the country name, and we confirm the route and price in writing.

Part 1 · Why you need it

Why CA certificates are apostilled or attested

Indian Chartered Accountants are hired across the Gulf, Africa and Asia for audit, tax and finance leadership roles. People often call it a 'CA degree', but the qualification is shown by ICAI documents: the final examination pass certificate and the membership certificate.

Gulf employers in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait usually need these certificates attested by the MEA and the embassy, often together with the B.Com degree. Hague countries accept the MEA apostille.

Part 3 · Documents

Documents required for CA certificate attestation

  • Original ICAI membership certificate and/or CA final pass certificate
  • B.Com degree, if the employer asks for academic qualifications as well
  • Copy of your passport, front and back pages
  • Authorisation letter, signed (format sent on WhatsApp)
  • Where and why the document will be used
How to send: there is no pickup service. Post the CA certificate by a tracked courier to our Delhi office or hand it over in person, and it comes back to you by courier after the final stamp.
Part 4 · Charges and time

Part 5 · Before you send

Tips before sending your CA certificate

  • Check which ICAI document your employer wants; the membership certificate and the pass certificate are different documents.
  • Many Gulf visas classify CA holders as accountants or finance managers; keep the B.Com ready.
  • ICAI is a statutory body, and its certificates follow the same MEA route as university degrees.

Part 7 · FAQs

FAQs: CA degree certificate apostille and attestation

How do I get my CA certificate apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs?

First the original CA certificate is attested by a notary in New Delhi. The SDM office in New Delhi then verifies the notary, and the MEA fixes the apostille sticker on the back. You can courier the original to us; we complete all three steps and courier it back.

What are the charges for CA degree certificate apostille?

The MEA charges a government fee of ₹50 per document for an apostille. Our service charge for CA degree certificate apostille is usually ₹1,000–₹1,500 per document, and courier is extra. Embassy attestation for the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and other countries costs more and is quoted per country. You always get a written quote first.

Is a CA a degree for attestation purposes?

The CA qualification is shown by ICAI certificates, not a university degree, but these certificates are legalised through the same Notary, SDM and MEA route.

What documents are required for CA certificate attestation?

Only a few things: the original CA certificate, a passport copy showing the photo and address pages, and our authorisation letter signed by you. Let us know the country and the purpose so we choose the right route.

What is the process for CA certificate attestation for the UAE, Qatar or Kuwait?

Notary, SDM, MEA attestation and then the embassy: that is the four-step route for the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. The UAE also requires its own ministry stamp after you arrive.

Do I need my B.Com attested along with my CA certificate?

Often yes, especially for Gulf work visas. We can handle both in one file.

How long does CA degree certificate apostille take?

The time depends on the queues at the SDM office, the MEA and, for attestation, the embassy. We confirm an expected completion date in your written quote and update you on WhatsApp at every stage. Embassy attestation takes longer than an apostille.

Apostille or attestation: which one does my CA certificate need?

The country decides. Apostille works for Hague members such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UK, France and Australia; attestation with embassy legalisation is needed for the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, China and other non-members.

What does a CA certificate need for a job in the UAE?

MEA attestation, UAE embassy legalisation and then the UAE ministry stamp in the UAE.
