MOA and AOA for Oman: what you need to know
MOA AOA attestation from Oman Embassy is the legalisation of your company’s Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association so that Omani registration offices, banks and partners accept them. The MOA sets out what the company may do; the AOA sets out how it is run. Omani officials read them to confirm that the Indian company exists and that it can open a branch or invest.

Can the MOA and AOA for Oman be apostilled?
No. Oman told the Hague Conference in 2021 that it does not apply the Apostille Convention to commercial documents of any type. The MOA and AOA of an Indian company therefore need Chamber of Commerce attestation, MEA attestation and legalisation by the Embassy of Oman in New Delhi.
Should I send the original MOA and AOA?
Send a complete copy certified as true by a director or the company secretary, signed and sealed. That certified copy is what the chamber, the MEA and the embassy stamp. Keep the company’s own record copy safely in India.
Are the MOA and AOA attested as one document or two?
It depends on whether they are certified and bound together and on how the chamber and embassy count them. We look at the scan and tell you in the written quote how they will be treated.
Does the MOA need to be notarised before the chamber stamp?
Some chambers attest a company-certified copy directly, while others want it notarised first. We check what applies to your papers before you courier them, so the copy does not come back for a missing step.
Can you get a copy of our MOA from the ROC for us?
No. INFINITYGRO does not obtain documents from the Registrar of Companies or from any other authority. Your company or its company secretary prepares the certified copy from the company’s own records and sends it to us for attestation.
What other papers are needed to open a branch in Oman?
Omani offices commonly ask for the certificate of incorporation, a board resolution and a power of attorney along with the MOA and AOA. Your Omani lawyer will give the exact list. Send the whole set together so it moves through each office as one batch.
Do the deeds need to be translated into Arabic?
Often yes, for registration in Oman. INFINITYGRO translates into Arabic and other languages. Ask your Omani lawyer whether the translation must be legalised along with the deed from India or whether a translation certified in Oman is preferred.
