Apprenticeship Certificate Attestation from MEA: NATS, Trade and Company Certificates
An apprenticeship certificate is often the strongest proof of hands-on training an Indian technician or graduate has. Employers abroad, especially in technical and industrial jobs, may ask for it legalised alongside the diploma or degree. This post explains apprenticeship certificate attestation from MEA for the common types of certificate, and the route by country.

Apprenticeship certificate: the short answer
Apprenticeship certificate attestation from MEA means getting the Ministry of External Affairs stamp on the certificate you received at the end of an apprenticeship in India. It is notarised and attested by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Delhi first. The MEA then adds the apostille for Hague Convention countries, or MEA attestation for countries such as the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait, which then need embassy legalisation.
Our all-inclusive charge for the notary, SDM and MEA stages is Rs 1,000–1,500 per certificate, and the work usually takes 2–3 working days. Allow about 5–7 working days for the UAE, where the UAE Embassy and the online UAE MOFA step are added. We work on the certificate you already hold and do not obtain certificates from training boards or employers.
Common Indian apprenticeship certificates
NATS Certificate of Proficiency
Under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme of the Ministry of Education, graduate and diploma apprentices receive a Certificate of Proficiency from the Government of India. Training lasts six months to a year.
Trade apprenticeship certificates
Certificates issued to trade apprentices trained under the Apprentices Act, 1961, in a specific trade and establishment.
Company apprenticeship letters
Letters or certificates from the employer where you trained, confirming the trade and period of apprenticeship.
Details of NATS are on the NATS portal. INFINITYGRO does not register apprentices or issue these certificates.

What is apprenticeship certificate attestation from MEA?
It is the MEA’s stamp on your Indian apprenticeship certificate so it is accepted abroad: the apostille for Hague countries, or MEA attestation followed by embassy legalisation for others. A notary and the Delhi SDM authenticate the certificate before the MEA stage.
Can a NATS Certificate of Proficiency be attested?
Yes. The NATS Certificate of Proficiency can go through the notary, SDM and MEA stages like other certificates. Send us a photo first so we can check the details and confirm the route for your destination country.
Does it need a Chamber of Commerce stamp?
No. Chamber of Commerce authentication is for commercial documents. An apprenticeship certificate issued to a person goes through a notary and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Delhi before the MEA stage. We arrange both stages, so you only send the original certificate.
How much does it cost?
Each certificate costs Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 in total, which covers the notary, the SDM, the MEA fee and our work. Countries outside the Hague Convention add an embassy fee, stated in your written quote before you send anything. Courier and translation are billed separately.
How long does it take?
Most apprenticeship certificates are apostilled within 2–3 working days of reaching our office. UAE files need roughly 5–7 working days because of the embassy and online MOFA steps. If you courier from another city, add transit time each way.
Can I get the online apostille for it?
Yes. We also offer the online apostille (e-Sanad / QR apostille service), usually ready in 2–3 working days through INFINITYGRO. Send the document and a copy of your passport, because the passport number is entered online.
I lost my apprenticeship certificate. Can you get a copy?
No. INFINITYGRO does not obtain certificates from training boards, institutes or employers. Apply to the body that issued it for a duplicate. Once you hold the duplicate, send it to us for the notary, SDM and MEA stages.
Do I need State HRD attestation for it?
Usually not. INFINITYGRO does not do State HRD attestation, and the Delhi notary, SDM and MEA route is accepted for most countries. Only if your checklist names HRD does the State department complete that step first.
