For an apostille for Hungary, the Indian document is first checked by the office that controls it – your school board or state education department for marksheets and degrees, the home department or SDM for birth and marriage certificates – and then the Ministry of External Affairs adds its apostille. Hungarian universities, the immigration authority (OIF) and registry offices take that apostille as final, with no Hungarian Embassy stamp.

Universities usually want the 12th marksheet and certificate – and the bachelor’s degree for master’s programmes – carrying the apostille for Hungary before enrolment or the residence permit.

Translation and the apostille for Hungary
Hungarian universities generally accept English documents for admission. The translation is made after the apostille and covers it.
We prepare accurate translations and advise which form your office accepts. See our translation services.
