The apostille for Costa Rica is placed by the MEA after the Indian document has been verified at source – a Passport Seva PCC needs nothing beforehand, birth and marriage certificates go through the home department or SDM, and pension or income declarations through a notary and SDM. Costa Rica’s immigration directorate (DGME) and civil registry accept them with a Spanish translation by an official translator.
