German translation services at INFINITYGRO cover English to German and German to English for certificates, academic records, employment papers and contracts. Before you pay, we check one thing many applicants miss: the German missions in India accept many visa documents in English, while a Standesamt, Ausländerbehörde or recognition office in Germany often wants a translation by a sworn (beeidigter) translator there.

Precision points in German translation
- Umlauts and ß. Müller and Mueller may both appear – we follow the source and note the passport form.
- Long compounds. Words like Staatsangehörigkeitsausweis are translated by meaning, not word by word.
- Swiss and Austrian usage. Swiss German writes “ss” for ß; Austrian documents use terms like Jänner and Matura – both are handled.
- Formal register. German authorities use Sie and fixed legal phrases; our German text reads like an official document, not a draft.
- Qualification names. Indian degrees keep their original title with an explanatory translation – recognition offices decide equivalence, not the translator.
Nursing professionals form the largest group using our German translation services, followed by engineers and Master’s students. When a German office accepts translations from abroad, our German translation services can deliver them alongside the apostilled originals.
German companies sourcing from India also use our German translation services for test reports, technical data sheets and supplier declarations.
Where it is usedWhere German translation services from India are used
Who asks for what, in the cases we see most often:
| Country / office | What they usually ask for |
|---|---|
| German missions in India – visa files | Many documents are accepted in English; translation is needed mainly for other languages. Check the checklist first. |
| Standesamt (marriage, birth registration) | Usually a translation by a translator sworn or authorised in Germany. |
| Recognition offices (Anerkennung) | Often a sworn translation; some accept translations from abroad – each Land decides. |
| Universities and APS | Mostly English documents accepted; German translation only if the university asks. |
| Austria and Switzerland | Certified or court-sworn translation depending on the office and canton. |
Plain, certified or notarised German translation?
| Level | What you receive |
|---|---|
| Plain | Text only – useful for reading or a first check. |
| Certified | Declaration of accuracy, translator signature and company seal on every set. |
| Notarised | Same as certified, plus notary attestation of the declaration. |
| With apostille | Apostille or embassy attestation applied to the translation itself. |
Germany, Austria and Switzerland accept the MEA apostille on Indian documents. An apostille does not turn an Indian translation into a German sworn translation – where an office in Germany insists on its own sworn translator, we will say so before you pay.
